Cape Reinga Fog

Cape Reinga Fog

This was one of the most exciting photo missions I've done in a while. The Cape was completely shrouded in fog at dawn- thick pea soup- I thought the shot was going to be a write off. But over the next hour the fog started to thin and I was able to capture this moment as the fog leaves the Tasman Sea for the Pacific. Shot on The 617 Panoramic camera for optimal resolution at any print size you may require. This is actually the opening feature spread  in The Big Little Beach Book.
