In late 2010 Piha Bar returned to form, many locals agreeing it's the best it's been in over a decade. I've always wanted to shoot classic Bar from this vantage point to show around Taitomo Island [left] but also to have Te Waha sweeping up the coast to the Kaipara Headlands [right].. Shot on the 617 Panoramic Camera, the transparency was then drum scanned to create the ultimate fidelity and quality, this image has been used at over 2 metres wide. The bigger it is used the better it looks.

We use the finest EPSON UltraChrome archival inks that have a lightfastness display life of more than 75 years. After printing, the canvas is then hand rolled with a clear semi gloss varnish which allows the print to be wiped clean once hanging and also increases the life of the ink.
